Holding On

This was born from one of my morning walks with my little black dog in and around the village I live in West Devon. It was one of those dull days when there is a faint hint of the sun coming through and just catching the copper glow of the last few leaves of autumn. I really enjoyed working on the background of this one trying to capture the muted yellow/grey sky. I then used acrylic paint and ink to give the impression of the tree. Adding just a touch of copper leaf for the leaves.
