This painting is part of my 'doorstop' series.  A collection of paintings taken from moments less than half a mile from my home.   This was a particularly beautiful yellow light one morning when taking my little dog for her morning walk.  A view looking across the valley in Lifton.  I love the big dark firs dominating the foreground.  A beautiful, restful painting.
